I almost forgot the agony of creating these until I started sorting through them. We don't have any formal shots of the finished product yet, but here's evidence that we made them ourselves.
It's a little booklet with a faux bois cover (see our faces in the knot?) Inside is the formal invitation, an illustrated map to the location in monroe, and response card postcards. out-of-towners got another postcard attached to information about hotels and the rehearsal dinner cookout. And with all that being said, I promise more and better photos.
Designed/illustrated by me, letterpressed by KC & me at Praxium Press with Mr. Berwyn Hung's help. Plates made by Owosso Graphic Arts. Paper from Mac Papers and Paper Source. Tied, stuffed, and stamped by my family.

can you please tell me the name of the faux bois paper you used?
actually, i designed the faux bois myself and printed it on plain paper.
do you mind if i ask about the tandem bicycle illustration? My drafting skills are just ok, so i'd love to find a vector version (or raster) to start with.
Hey Steph - if you send me an e-mail (sara.hanks[a]gmail.com) I'll get you the info!
Hi Sara,
I sent an email to the address you have here in your blog, but wasn't sure if you'd rec'd it - it was about purchasing your wood grain design? Just let me know what you think!
Thank you!
Jennifer
